The day that I found these precious children abandoned on the streets of Bogo, I knew that I had been sent here to do something to take care of them. I asked my incredible wife, Diane, to visit them, and she felt the same way ... and so we began "Humanility" and rented homes in Bogo and in Manila for street children whom we wanted to emancipate, educate, and empower. We wanted them to be loved, valued, and given a chance to discover, develop, and live their life potential. We are grateful for friends like EJ, May, George, Nick, and others who gave a piece of their lives to help change the trajectory of these children's lives.
Time has passed, and Bogo was given the awesome gift of Collyn Laurio to develop the Humanility Bogo Lighthouse Home for these children. She loves them with her her whole heart and life, and she has had to move them several times into different rented houses. We knew that ultimately we had to purchase land big enough to expand, as there are many homeless street children in Northern Cebu. Recently, Bent Tree Church provided $125,000 to purchase 2.4 acres of land, so now we must raise $200,000 to build boy's and girl's "homes" and other facilities on this land ... and so we are launching a 2 month crowd funding campaign.
I'll be very honest with you ... we began all of this by faith, without funds, staff, houses, food, medicine, clothing, or even birth certificates for the children. So, at times, it can seem overwhelming ... so I'd like to ask you for a huge favor ... and here it is:

We believe that the way to raise enough funds to build all of the facilities is to mobilize our sponsors and others in our community of humanity who want to help provide homes for these precious children and change their lives forever.
Here’s how U can make a difference.
- Use our simple steps to create your own Personal Crowd-Funding Page that links into
this Main Page and to our Humanility Website and Bank Account set up for this project.
- Use your own Personal Crowd-Funding Page to reach out to all of your relatives,
friends, and contacts on Social Media or in your neighborhood, church, or work place.
- Several times a week, we will be adding blogs, photos, videos, and updates to our Main
Crowd-Funding Community Page, and you can regularly forward these to those who
are connected to your Personal Crowd-Funding Page.
- Ask those who respond to your personal page to do one themselves and reach out to
their friends and family.
Our site will be tracking all donations coming in from each personal page and Humanility will offer these community appreciation presentations:
* For Individual Pages raising at least $1,000 - Humanility T-Shirt signed by all of the
Bogo children
* For Individual Pages raising at least $3,000 - A personal video from the Bogo Children
thanking you and your children by name for helping to give them a home
* For Individual Pages raising at least $5,000 - Your name or the name of your
organization of name of your choice will be engraved on a plaque that will be hung in
the Bogo Homes
* The Individual Page that raises the greatest amount will be honored with a free round
trip airplane ticket to join the Bent Tree Church Team that will travel to Bogo to help in
the building project
